Job Description

The Director of Security Sales is responsible for driving strategic revenue growth through consultative, enterprise-level selling of business-to-business security officer services and hybrid technology solutions. This position combines direct sales with leading and developing a team, focusing on strategic prospecting, relationship building, and closing business. This role operates as a trusted advisor to clients and an extension of executive leadership, bringing market insight, and relationship leadership to every stage of the sales lifecycle.

This role partners closely with regional and field operations leadership on both pre- and post-sale activities to ensure solution alignment, operational readiness, and long-term client satisfaction.

Day-to-day sales execution is guided by clearly defined KPIs established by the EVP of Sales, with Salesforce serving as the system of record for pipeline management, activity tracking, forecasting, and revenue reporting.

Core Responsibilities

  • Build and expand strategic client relationships across the territory, positioning American Security & Investigations as a trusted, high-value security services partner through customized proposals and RFPs.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team focused on disciplined execution, pipeline growth, and revenue results.
  • Drive new business acquisition through proactive prospecting, innovative lead‑generation strategies, and cross‑selling within sister service lines (Janitorial, IFS, Mechanical).
  • Strengthen the Company’s local market presence and brand to attract targeted decision‑makers, referral partners, and long‑term client relationships.
  • Partner closely with Field Operations, regional leadership and HR/TA teams to ensure confidence in service delivery and seamless post‑sale implementation.
  • Optimize territory planning and travel to maximize client engagement and sales productivity.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales KPIs and annual new revenue targets.
  • Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in all interactions.

Skills Required

  • Demonstrated success in a collaborative, team‑based sales environment, partnering closely with Operations to identify, resolve, and prevent service delivery challenges.
  • Proven track record of consultative B2B sales excellence, including consistent achievement of aggressive revenue targets and recognition for top performance.
  • Strong new‑business development capability, leveraging professional networks, social platforms and targeted networking to build and sustain pipeline.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing high‑performing sales teams with accountability for results.
  • Executive presence with the ability to engage, influence, and present effectively to decision makers at all levels
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, listening, and presentation skills, with strong written communication capabilities.
  • Customer‑centric mindset with a demonstrated commitment to service excellence, integrity, and long‑term client relationships.
  • Highly organized and strategic, with the ability to plan and execute sales calls, presentations, territory coverage, and pipeline management.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for forecasting, reporting, proposals, and presentations.
  • Strong understanding of pricing, margin management, forecasting, and proposal/RFP development; ability to independently develop and deliver complex proposals.
  • Experience executing within a structured, formal sales process; training in strategic or consultative selling methodologies preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial, growth‑oriented mindset with a strong sense of urgency, accountability, and ability to operate independently.

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Criminal Justice, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive B2B sales experience within the security services industry, including guarding, patrol, or integrated security solutions.
  • Demonstrated success selling contract‑based, recurring revenue services in a competitive, service‑driven environment.
  • Proven experience developing and executing territory growth strategies, including prospecting, pipeline development, forecasting, and closing complex sales cycles.
  • Working knowledge of security staffing models, labor economics, compliance requirements, and service implementation considerations.
  • Prior experience leading, coaching, or mentoring sales professionals within a security or facilities services organization strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and data‑driven sales management tools.

TravelAbility to travel approximately 25% throughout all areas of the territory, including some overnight travel. Few times a year for domestic travel to corporate office and/or regional industry shows and events.
