Job Title: Medical Front Desk Receptionist
Location: Lakewood, NJ

Type: Contract To Hire
Compensation: $19 hourly
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: 9 am to 5 pm, approximately 19 hours a week

We’re looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable  Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient service while supporting the smooth daily operations of our office. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a patient-focused environment and values accuracy, professionalism, and teamwork.

Job Duties:

• Greet and check in/out patients with warmth and professionalism

• Answer phones, respond to messages, and schedule/reschedule appointments

• Verify insurance information and collect co-pays or outstanding balances

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system

• Handle patient intake forms and ensure privacy compliance (HIPAA)

• Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow

• Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including faxes, referrals, and medical records requests

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk and waiting area

• Support general administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year working in a medical office or healthcare setting (preferred)

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in medical administration a plus
• Excellent attendance and punctuality

• Professional appearance and demeanor
