Uplifting Air is an established residential, light commercial, replacement and new construction company looking for an experienced HVAC mechanic to join our company.

Immediate opening. This is NOT an entry level or helper position. You MUST be experienced in HVAC mechanical duties and we prefer you have a minimum of 3-5 years recent experience with light commercial units (7.5 – 20 tons), be hardworking and dependable. No refrigeration work required at this time. Good duct work skills a plus.

Job Descripion – HVAC Mechanic

Job Objective: To identify issues, repair, maintain, install, and/or replace HVAC systems and equipment in order to ensure a proper and efficient working unit.

Primary Responsibilities:

Diagnoses causes of problems and/or failures in heating/cooling/refrigeration systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs
Stays in close contact with dispatcher regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with building and safety regulations
Inspects all systems and their components for the purpose of evaluating condition, identifying necessary repairs and recommending preventative maintenance
Prepares service invoice, either electronically or written, noting customer’s name, address, date, number of hours worked, materials used and secures customer’s or authorized signature and when appropriate secures any COD payments
Installs equipment and systems for the purpose of providing enhanced and /or upgraded capabilities
Requests equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of items required to complete the necessary installation and/or repair
Available to work overtime hours to handle peak demand or emergency situations
Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work team

We are 100% drug free and ALL candidates MUST be able to pass a drug test and criminal background check (not a credit check). ALL candidates MUST have a clean driving record with no serious infractions.

The ideal candidate will have:

minimum of 3-5 years experience a must
valid drivers license with no serious infractions
EPA certified a must
NATE certified a plus
Computer and mobile device skills a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25.00 to $30.00 /hour to start. Competitive Pay.
